Zune 8 battery replacement issue
I bought a replacement battery and put it into a previously working Zune which wouldn't hold a charge. This one has a green wire instead of a blue which I soldered where the old blue one would have been, but now the Zune will not turn on even after a full night of charging. The battery is providing power from the leads using a multimeter. I will occasionally see a battery icon with no black light which would mean its charging but does not go anywhere. I troubleshooted checked all my solder joints and decided to put the old battery back in to make sure I didn't break something. Upon installing the old battery, the Zune started up but only on USB power which was the same problem I had hoped to fix with a replacement battery. I also tried switching the green and white wires around in case it was that but the Zune would start up, the low battery icon would show in the bottom right have corner change to charging and restart in a endless loop. Figured that was not going to work anyway. Is there something to the wiring of these non-oem batteries?
