Yeah, I mean, it's VERY work in progress. I just basically had enough time to take the original artwork and extend the background. I do need to find a way to smudge the background a bit more to blend with the original, and I'm tossing around what I should do for the name. I don't want the name to be very big, but I love white space.
Quick question, did you get permission to use someone else's work for your signature? Was that a render made available but it's creator or did you get that off of a picture?

It's working off of a piece of artwork, but a.)I was going to link back to it, b.)I left the artist's signature on it, and c.) It's a forum sig. I'm pretty sure I won't get sued.

If you can get a hold of the artist do so and ask permission. They'll most likely say yes. Never just assume it's OK though.
Duh. Because you're trying to take credit for something you didn't do.

Why does this come in to question when we use other people's images all the time and don't refer back to them?
(ps: Just so you guys will settle down, I posted the link to the artist's page in the OP)
I don't think it's a big deal when someone uploads a render to a render based website. But when you take someone's artwork and make something out of it, I'd assume they might want you to credit them for it (they didn't make it for people to make into a signature specifically). But I've only used one thing off of dA and I didn't bother doing so because it's not too big a deal and I'm not saying "OMFG I MADE THIS AND TAKE CREDIT FOR IT" because I'm not a ****.

That's why I am going to give full credit to them...

That's good If it were my work, I honestly wouldn't care all that much for the credit. But if they stole, say, a sig I made, I wouldn't be too happy. Good thing they all have my name on them etc.
