Default Nokia Gets Their Act Together

A while back Nokia paired up with Microsoft, most importantly to develop Windows Phone 7. Nokia's focus on cheap and reliable devices, something that still gives them significant marketshare abroad even if they're behind in the local smartphone battles, is a good fit for WP7's own design philosophy of simplicity and ease of use. Recently the N9 was announced and featured some gorgeous hardware, but despite the new partnership still featured Nokia's struggling MeeGo, not WP7. Somewhat of a disappointment for the people waiting to see the fruit of Nokia's partnership, but now we have it. The hardware bears similarity to the N9, but runs on what is by all accounts a far superior operating system.

Given the fact that the people at the event where this info comes from were asked not to release said info, it can be assumed that it's some time from being ready and thus some time from further info.
