Made this concept layout really quick. I was thinking that if a game required the extensive use of the L+R buttons it might be kind of annoying to move your thumbs/fingers all the way to the top of the screen, so that's where the idea for this layout came from.
The buttons might be too small, let me know what you think.
I don't think that'll work. Spike!'s UI's D-Pad is the smallest it can go. So you might have to make the d-pad on yours bigger.
Hey everyone! New to the forums here. I got pretty excited when I found out about Visualboy Zune, and have to say that its amazing! The one thing that bothered me was these layouts. For me, they are not as comfortable to hold (just personal preference, I guess).
For the people that feel the same, here's a layout design I whipped up, with the buttons I made shifted up, and the screen put to its largest with out too much stretching.
And I did test it.
Feedback is welcome as always! If you guys like it, I'll upload it.
Thanks!

hey, um... it looks pretty good, and i'm sure that having the buttons up higher for bigger hands will feel much nicer, but i have one question. why did you go through the trouble to create a rounded black border when the screen and menu button overlap the border anyways? seems like a waste of time on your part... ▲▼▲▼▲▼
Is it possible to add an virtual analog stick to a layout or do you have to edit the source?
I would think you'd be able to.
I mean, you can just pretend that the current layout is a joystick and use it like one. It still works perfectly, right?
Yes, its really simple. Open up wordpad on your computer and open the folder VbaMZuneDeployer and look for the file "application.cfg"
Look for
# the DeployKit window and in the apps/games menu on the Zune.
name: VisualBoy Zune
There you can change the name. Make sure you make a backup of the file before editing (just in case) and that it maintains the same formating. Note that you can also edit the description just under that.

Sorry, I really do hate being a bumper. But by any chance did anyone download this layout before the link went "bad"? I'd really like a one (right) handed layout. Thanks
