Default [SOLVED] pc software update?
Hey gang. Alright, I'm finally getting around to updating my Zune software for my pc. When I click terms of service, it wants me to sign up again. I entered my info and was told it is already in use. Help? Please?

Hello rose. When trying to preview music on my pc via the Zune software I am told that an update is available. Click on terms of service and click agree to update. As I said, now it wants me to start a new account. I like my account, why have to change it? I do have some unused points, (just for emergencies), and I would hate to lose them. Thank You, mm

Won't I lose the music that wasn't purchased from MS? My reason for asking is that I just spent the last week installin 150 cd's into my acct.

Hi. I was able to accept the TOS at www.zunenet. Now when I log on, I get a date/timestamp error message. I ck'd my pc and it is correct. Do you still want me to reinstall?

i dont know...keep trying
after 5 trys i would deffinately reinstall

Make a new fake account then when the update is finished. sign in using your old account.

EDIT: Did you restart your PC after the update?

You shouldn't have to have an account to begin with... It's not as though one is necessary.

But no, you won't lose the music that you've bought just because you uninstall and then reinstall the software.

Bingo!!! I was able to stumble across a MS site that let me update my software. I found a link from the "Zune Social" site that I was able to log on to. I like using the info from the marketplace, and previewing bands that are difficult to find at other places. Thank You Rose, CZ, and Shadow. You 3 are champs.
