Default Certain songs not syncing

I have zune in order to put music on my windows phone however there are certain songs that for whatever reason will not sync to my zune library. I have been trying to sync my youtube converted to mp3 file and it is not working. I have several other files in my zune library that I have attained this way so it is not a first. I have tried dragging and moving it to a different folder and adding the folder. PLZ HELP!!!!!

also along with this problem i suppose it would be nice to know why my zune after autimatically searching my computer came up with some 700+ songs while my itunes has over 2000

1) check the tags (metadata.) If it's missing, zune won't know what it is, or where to put it... If you don't have a metadata editor, download and try MP3Tag.
2) Most likely, the missing files are not compatible. (Probably have iTunes "Fairplay" DRM.) In windows, right click one of those, and 'play with zune.' If it plays, it's compatible and the problem is something else.

1)honestly I can't say I know what metadata is and therefore am unsure how to check or edit it

2)I think I have half solved this problem when I looked at my itnues music folder, there is not much in it and so I am looking throughout my computer trying to find out where all my other music is stored have found some of the other folders but not nearly all the music, not really sure how it go so messed up.

It's stuff like the artist, title, track number, album, genre, etc. Both Windows Media Player and the Zune software have ways to edit this information, as well as Windows itself.

Except that to do so, you have to get them to 'see' it first! That's why I suggested MP3Tag...

Well, I assume that if nothing else, Windows can see the file. If it can't, he's probably got bigger problems. Not saying that MP3Tag is a bad program, but if someone doesn't even know what a tag is it may be best to try some built-in solutions before moving on to more advanced ones.

Hope you don't mean editing the file properties by that... that tends to create more problems. Also, MP3Tag allows batch editing of files, which is a lot easier and faster for problems where many files need editing.

So does Windows. I'll usually fix tags in digital music through Windows before opening in it in the Zune software. I just select all the tracks in the folder, go down to the provided tag editing section music folders provide in 7, enter everything but the title, and there, batch edited. I usually fix the title tags in the Zune software itself.

you're missing the point... editing file properties does not write tags in ID3V2.3 format. It writes them in various windows formats that are frequently incompatible. You will tend to get into trouble if/when you have complex tags and/or embedded album art, and especially on certain file formats. Unfortunately, it is difficult to predict what will go wrong, and when...which really makes it something to avoid.
