How to view total size of library...

Hi,

I was wondering; how exactly do you see the total size of all music/media on the zune software (in GBs). I'll be getting a WP7 soon and would like to know how much space will be taken up.

Well, the manual method would be to simply look at the folders that comprise your library, right click and select properties, then add up the numbers. A simpler method if you sync everything to your device, Zune or phone, would be to plug it in and look at the device tab. The total size of each part of your library as well as the complete library is shown at a bar on the bottom.

Don't forget that zune software has the ability to transcode music from high to lower bitrates, thus making smaller files. You lose a bit of music fidelity, but if you set it right, not enough to notice thru earbuds.
