Zune 30GB 1st Gen, One of the best, Kudos Microsoft!
Just perusing the internet as my 2 1/2 year old daughter hard/reset my 30GB Zune. Can that happen? lol I don't know how she managed it, but I listen to books while sleeping/going to sleep, and she often grabs it out of my shirt pocket, might have to wear jeans, and keep the Zune in my pocket. lol Seriously! All my stuff is GONE! Anyway, just wanted to give a huge KUDOS to Microsoft for this particular model, the first gen 30GB Zune. I actually won mine by playing Bing, last I was on there, they had the 80gb model up as a prize, may have to get playing again, but kinda waiting until they put an HD up, yeah! Back to the Zune 30GB, and it's attributes. THE 1ST GEN ZUNE 30GB IS BY FAR ONE OF THE BEST PLAYERS EVER MADE! PERIOD! I have dropped this thing on cement, wood floors, boulders, basically every surface you can think of, I've dropped it on. And once, I was bending over the railing, and it dropped on a huge rock boulder beneath me at about 8ft! No damage, no anything, was still playing when I picked it up. lol Was really hesitant about it being a HD based player, but free is free, accept for time spent playing those games. uhg! Anyway, for those in the market for a great player, sound-wise, durability-wise etc, you can't go worng buying a 1st gen Zune 30gb. It's one of the best ever made!
P.S Would be nice if Microsoft, seeing as this player is so old, would make available a new frimware to untie the 30GB Zune from the Zune software, and let me simply drag, and drop. This is my only gripe, and a reason I would never have purchased one of these, but for free, I can deal with the software.
