Post [SOLVED] Additional Brightness Control

Hello, I'm quite new to the forums, so I apologize in advance if I do something dumb... (Thank you)
I would like to know if it is at all feasible to create a utility that expands the ability to lower the brightness on the Zune HD farther than the default lowest setting. I'm hoping this will allow for extended battery life while doing visual activities such as games, videos, etc.

I don't think so. my guess, is the brightness control is at least a firmware level deal, and even an openzdk program could not change that. besides, Openzdk programs can't run in the background; they either are running, or the aren't.

Any way that we COULD do this would defeat the point, as we would have to run an app behind which lowers the screen brightness (If it was possible) which would in turn run the battery down more.

There is no feasible way of doing this I am afraid.
