Default Can't sign into the Twitter app? Problem explained...

Hey, Just wanted to give a heads up as to why the Zune HD Twitter App won't connect anymore. It's not just a few people, its a problem across the board. I've had the problem since yesterday as well.

Yesterday, Twitter turned off "basic auth" ability from any application. Basically, it means that applications cannot sign in using the old fashioned "Username and Password" method anymore. How long will it take MS to give us an update? No idea, but I will make sure you guys know as soon as its made public.

Here is more info about the switch.

In the meantime, mobile.twitter.com is... half decent in the browser.

so that would explain why I also can't sign in to the Xbox 360 twitter app as well. Thanks for the heads-up.

Same w/HTC Peep.
