The end of Affrimative Action?

This is great news.
Affirmative Action is racism. It's unjust and unfair (to every race) and it should be abolished. It shouldn't have been implemented in the first place.

Yes, it should have been implemented in the first place. Do you even know why it was created? Because there was A LOT of racism at the time and in order to get blacks into universities and jobs, affirmative action was helpful if not necessary. It's not as useful now though and I agree it should probably end.

Yeah, yeah. Anything that threatens white priviledge is racism. We get it.

I'm not full white, more or less "EurAsian"

also, shouldn't people be accepted into Uni or hired due to their abilities and merits instead of race and gender?

I could care less what race you are as long as you are capable or show the knowledge to get into that job or university.

The problem is you =/= everybody else.

And I understand that. I was just stating a opinion.

I'm just saying (I'm going to sound like a broken record), shouldn't we look at abilities and merits (or the content of their character) instead of the color of their skin?

They do, but again, it was put in place because schools and jobs were turning down perfectly capable minorities.
